Role & Responsibilities
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain has full accountability for the end to end supply chain, including direct & indirect procurement, logistics, inventory, planning, and supplier management.
This is a senior leadership role requiring both strategic ownership and hands on delivery. The role will play a key part in shaping the operational capability, culture, and long term scalability of the business as the company moves towards production and growth.
Responsibilities include:
- Define and deliver the end-to-end supply chain strategy aligned to business objectives including cost, quality, delivery, and growth.
- Lead the full supply chain lifecycle including sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory, and delivery to production.
- Own best cost country sourcing strategy and execution, delivering total cost optimisation through global supplier selection and transition.
- Build and lead a multi-functional team across procurement, logistics, and planning.
- Establish operations planning, forecasting, and inventory management processes.
- Lead sourcing across BoM and strategic indirect categories.
- Develop and manage strategic suppliers, including performance, risk, and contracts.
- Define and implement logistics and distribution strategy.
- Implement scalable systems, processes, and governance.
- Play a key role in SOP readiness and supply chain scale-up.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing organisation capable of supporting business growth, operational scale-up, and long-term production readiness.
- Develop team capability across procurement, logistics, planning, and supplier management through strong leadership, coaching, succession planning, and recruitment of key talent.
- Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, ensuring the function can scale effectively alongside the business.
- Lead organisational development within the Supply Chain function, establishing clear structures, responsibilities, performance expectations, and development pathways.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience at Head of or Director level with full end-to-end supply chain ownership.
- Experience leading procurement, logistics, and planning.
- Track record of building or transforming supply chain functions.
- Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
- Strong experience across direct and indirect procurement at a strategic level.
- Proven experience developing and executing best cost country sourcing strategies, including supplier identification and qualification.
- Experience in a start-up, scale-up, or SOP environment is advantageous
- Strong strategic leadership and decision-making capability.
- Deep understanding of supply chain, logistics, and inventory planning.
- Ability to influence at senior stakeholder level.
- Hands-on, resilient, and delivery focused.
- Strong people leadership and team development capability.
- Ability to build credibility and influence across all levels of the organisation.

Qualifications
- MCIPS (Level 6) – essential.
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field advantageous but not essential.
Additional Information
- Location: Coventry.
- Working Hours & Hybrid Policy: The standard working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Hybrid working arrangement: requiring three days in the office, including a mandatory in-office day on Wednesdays, and two days working from home.
- Local and global travel will be required for this role
