As a Skipper, you will play a vital role in supporting the testing, validation and development of our innovative propulsion system. Operating company vessels in a safe and professional manner, you will contribute directly to on-water testing activities, helping to ensure that our technology performs reliably in real-world marine environments. Working closely with engineers, technicians and the wider operations team, you will be part of a hands-on organisation where adaptability, teamwork and a strong safety mindset are essential.
Role and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Boat Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe operation of company vessels in support of validation testing activities for Caudwell Marine's Diesel Outboard Drive System. You will also support the day-to-day operation of the workshop and testing facility as required.

Role Type: We are open to considering both contract and permanent candidates for this position. Contract engagements would typically be offered for a minimum period of six months. Salary or contract rates will be discussed with suitable candidates and will be commensurate with qualifications, skills and relevant experience.
Working Pattern:
The role operates within a testing environment and flexibility is essential. Typical operating hours are based around a two-shift system:
Shift patterns may vary depending on testing requirements, weather conditions and business priorities. Occasional weekend working may also be required.
