Salary: £45,000 Uncapped commission. OTE £65,000 to £70,000

We are now seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and develop our expanding sales team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will optimise sales processes, strengthen pipeline management, coach and motivate the team, and ensure opportunities are effectively converted into robust, long-term business. You'll be responsible for driving performance, exceeding ambitious targets, and creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Sales Management:
- Maintain and grow your expert understanding of our products, services, markets and the wider industry.
- Develop and deliver a data-driven sales strategy aligned with the company's business plan and growth objectives.
- Evaluate and qualify new enquiries, ensuring opportunities are accurately scored and allocated to the most appropriate sales resource in a timely manner.
- Oversee and manage the sales pipeline to ensure targets are exceeded, opportunities are progressed effectively, CRM data is maintained accurately, and forecasting is reliable.
- Ensure opportunities are commercially viable, maintaining margins and profitability.
- Coach the sales team to develop the right sales tactics for each opportunity, providing guidance and support to maximise conversion rates.
- Ensure the team invests the appropriate level of time and resource into each opportunity, identifying and engaging the key influencers and decision-makers throughout the sales process.
- Ensure all sales and marketing materials are professional, compelling, accurate and aligned with both the business strategy and customer requirements.
- Act as the escalation point for customer issues, supporting the team to achieve successful commercial outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, regularly visiting customers to strengthen partnerships and identify new opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to improve processes, enhance customer experience and resolve operational challenges.
- Deliver against individual and team sales targets, KPIs and objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales performance, processes and efficiency, implementing change where appropriate.
- Champion an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales journey.
Team Management:
- Lead, motivate and develop the sales team through effective coaching, mentoring and day-to-day management.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, setting clear objectives and development plans to enable individual and team success.
- Play an active role in recruiting, onboarding and retaining a high-performing team.
- Design and deliver structured inductions and ongoing training programmes to support continuous development.
- Work closely with the HR Manager to effectively manage employee engagement, wellbeing and performance.
- Lead by example, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, ownership and continuous improvement while championing the company's values.
- Ensure your team has the tools, systems, training and commercial insight required to consistently deliver exceptional results.
Experience:
- A minimum of five years' experience leading, managing and developing a successful sales team.
- Proven experience of developing and implementing sales strategies that deliver measurable business growth.
- Experience managing key accounts and strategic clients.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and make informed decisions.
- Highly proficient champion for CRM system usage, with a strong focus on pipeline management, reporting and forecasting.
- Experience within signage, bespoke manufacturing, fit-out/construction.
- Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to motivate, coach and inspire high performance.
- Naturally proactive, organised and solutions-focused, with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
